Seeking Professional Script Editor for Indie Production
Seeking a professional script editor interested in working with an Indie production.
Editor will examine scripts given to them for:
- Mistakes in spelling and grammar (while taking into account local dialects).
- Flow of dialogue.
- Any holes in the plot.
- Correctness and flow of shots (Medium, long, close up, etc.)
Scripts for each scene will go through multiple drafts before being put into production. Note that the editor will need to be able to work on a production schedule.
About the Production:
A collaboration between an illustrator and fiction writer, this online graphic novel flashes back to New York City during the 1980s as two thrill seeker and borderline con artists get sucked into an adventure and conspiracy which lies just outside the city.
Qualifications:
- Worked on at least one professional production as either a writer or an editor in the fields of: Television, Film, or Comic books.
- Understanding of what a finished professional script looks like.
- Familiarity with comic style scripts is preferred but not required

I am looking for someone to help turn various stories I have written into scrips to be used in a radio Drama that we will be recording. The Drama will be broadcast from a station up in Boulder and credit for transcription will be given to the who ever helps. I am also willing to pay for the transcription as well. The Great Chicago Art Magazine Fall Staff Up Begins!
Film, Theater, Art... we're expanding like crazy. We've bulked up sales and operations and now it's time for writers and editors.
The new editorial model is a blend of features, evergreen content and informational posts. For example, the future film site will be about DIY filmmaking, but almost in the editorial spirit of the website "Mashable.com", which offers an endless supply of very informative posts on a particular subject. But whereas Mashable is resources for "power social networkers", we want to be an amazing resource site for the filmmaker who is working outside the Hollywood distribution model - they're making films with a digital camera, sending it out on the internet and trying to "make it" and find an audience in a new way. So for that reader, what do they need? What resources? What advice?
The theatre site is created with the explicit purpose of getting a new generation of theater-goers into the seats. We believe that means helping them not find "the best play", but the play that's right for them.
Chicago Art Collector has a fairly well-developed base of writers, but if you are connected to art collectors and can get access to people who will let us feature their art collections, we would be very interested to hear from you.
Last but not least, our main site, Chicago Art Magazine (chicagoartmagazine.com). We begin year two with new editorial initiatives to the energy to gather up the art community and help our readers get more involved.
