I just made top ten for comedy in a screenwriting competition. I'm a bit torn as to what to do with my screenplay now. Likely, I didn't make number one for comedy because my screenplay wasn't as good, but does that mean I shouldn't bother submitting it at all? Maybe with a few tweaks it would stand a better chance? I know it's a good screenplay, but I also I know the industry has incredibly tight tolerances for quality. However, making top ten makes me wonder if anyone in the industry would be interested anyway. You know?
