I知 new here. I知 working on a documentary.
Hi there,
I decided to join because this website seems very complete and I feel I can learn a lot from every one of you. I’ve been writing for a little while, mostly feature films. So far, I’ve written in the genres of fantasy/adventure, drama and horror. Besides research, research, research, what other tips can you provide when working on a documentary (screenwriting wise)? As far as I understand it, beyond having a very broad idea of the story you want to tell and trying to hit those beats while shooting, you don't write a documentary, you assemble it from the footage you have shot in the editing suite.
