Default My Super Query Letter

This is the query which has gotten me the most hits. I now have my scripts in review by a few major agencies and managers. i am showing you this to show what has been a success for me...not to brag.

Hi first name here,

I have 3 completed feature length scripts and am in need of representation. They are: eXcess, a dark comedy/action screenplay, The Attaché, a political/crime thriller and The Ice Cream Blonde, a historical/crime thriller. All of which I believe would not only be entertaining and exciting films, but also commercial and profitable. Here are the Loglines and Short Synopses:

-Excitement. Adventure. Danger. Love. All wrapped in a pretty pink pill.-

eXcess

LOGLINE: MILES GRAHAM, party-boy extraordinaire, has 48 hours to outsmart the DEA and enlist the help of a beautiful GO-GO dancer in order to find a duffel bag stuffed full of ecstasy pills and return it to the Russian Mafia before they kill his low-level, drug peddling best friend, who stole it from them in the first place.

SHORT SYNOPSIS: MILES GRAHAM is screwed. A nefarious Russian mobster is forcing him to find a duffel bag, stuffed full of Ecstasy pills, that his best friend, RUSTY, stole a week earlier and return it within 48 hours or else Rusty’s dead. If that isn’t bad enough, the DEA is pressing him to cooperate and turn the drugs over to them or face criminal charges himself. Set against the backdrop of Los Angeles’ nightclub scene, Miles will need a little luck, a smidge of cunning and the help of ANYA, a drop-dead gorgeous GO-GO dancer, if he wants any chance of saving his friend and evading certain doom. Yeah, he’s royally screwed.

-Diplomatic immunity is a ruse.-

The Attaché

LOGLINE: After the Israeli Consular General is assassinated in a nefarious and horrific explosion, FBI agent Charlie Jenssen must reluctantly team up with an Israeli Investigator to find the killer and protect their sole witness, the consular’s personal attaché.

SHORT SYNOPSIS: The Israeli Consular General of Los Angeles has been assassinated in a violent and horrific explosion. Jetted back to work from his son’s funeral, FBI agent Charlie Jenssen and Nuri Stahl, an investigator with Israel’s Shin-Bet, must reluctantly team up to catch the killer and protect their only witness, Yael Meir, the consular’s personal attaché. Yet as the body count rises and the political deceit runs deeper this task will push these agents to their physical and emotional limits. For in the world of international diplomacy, sometimes innocence is just a red herring.

-To us, she was a star; to them, a punchline.-

The Ice Cream Blonde

LOGLINE: When silver screen starlet Thelma Todd is found dead in her garage, two prosecutors are tasked with uncovering the truth. All that stands in the way are police corruption, a Hollywood cover-up and a notorious gangster.

SHORT SYNOPSIS: At the height of the Great Depression, Thelma Todd, The Queen of Comedy, is found dead; her lifeless and broken body spread out across the front seat of her Lincoln Phaeton convertible. Tasked to investigate are Assistant District Attorneys George Johnson and Vince Blalock. They must dig deep through layers of police corruption and a Hollywood cover-up to expose the truth. Was it her jealous and controlling business partner, her adulterous and volatile ex-husband or a notorious and dangerous mobster who finally did her in? Or maybe, just maybe, it was all a terrible accident. Whatever it was, Tinseltown will never be the same again.

Thanks dread, i am a big believer in keeping it simple. Too many want to write a monologue of "who they are" and the truth is noone has time to read that. The creativity should shine through a logline and/or synopsis.

Bacchus and Manfred: Thanks guys for the kind words. Just last week, in fact, a large management firm request all my scripts to read. So we shall see.

Great work man. Excellent that you've got some interest, which is no less than your work deserves.

Hopefully some cork popping very soon indeed!
