Default Question about Writing Sitcom

I've read some scripts and some people are writing sitcoms that are 34 pages long? I looked some tv pilots like Friends and How i met your mother and the scripts are almost 60 pages long.i do not understand What's the catch

It can be difficult because the script length depends on many factors, including what the show runner expects and how the specific show is run. There is no "rule" for American sitcoms. If you are writing a sample to show to a producer or agent they will understand that the script will be exactly the way the staff writers do it. If you are writing you own sitcom you can set the page numbers as you see fit.
