Re: Out with the Old...
Note: line about 'increasingly valuable time? Humour, but it's hard to convey. Whatever.

Re: Out with the Old...
Yeaahhh, I started to read it, and by page 3 realised it would probably never get made. Brutality against children, especially graphically, never flies. Very few, if any, actors would want to be in...

LS&2SB - Lock Stock etc.
Very well, I shall waste a little of my increasingly valuable time and deign to read your, uh, work. I'll get back to you when done.
I concur, but it is more likely...

Re: Keith Wheaton - JBT Media Contract
Hmm, no, I think my screenplay's good, I've been over it, several others have been over it, I've tweaked and tightened it.
The thing I was asking about was they seem to offer a package service...

Re: Out with the Old...
Wow, ellipsis, you should listen a little more carefully to SD, he's a genuinely good guy and knows what he's talking about. As do Ted Ellipt and Terry Rossio in 'Wordplay', think of how much money...

Re: The Best Screenwriting Book I’ve Ever Read
Syd Field's 'Screenplay'
J Michael Straczynski's 'Complete Book of Scriptwriting'
They're my go-to books. Plus the Ted Elliot/Terry Rossio website Wordplay

Re: Adm & Eiv
All of the above is why I didn't write my alien/Bible creation story.
While it likes to paint itself as history, the Bible's really a book used by patriarchs to keep the hoi-polloi in line. Some...

Re: what is an epic film?
Dammit, can't believe I didn't remember 'The Avengers' (though truthfully the story was a little light on, the characters and scale were great).

Re: what is an epic film?
Hmm, it's not a bad question, if a little subjective.
Epic films are usually (but not always) set on a big stage, have characters larger than life and a big story that takes a huge sweep of...

Re: Any agencies actually accepting screenplays?
What I mean is, what will you do when your script continues to not sell? Will you keep pushing it round and round until you become the Flying Dutchman of LA, roaming Sunset Boulevard, your...

Sorry, we seem to have got our wires crossed. I was under the impression ou said no one would read a script on the 'wrong paper'.
We're on the same page.
No pun intended.
Well... maybe a...

Re: Printing in A4
I've sent scripts, people have read them, gave me feedback. Not always positive, but never about the paper size.
First script I sent out was a spec for 'ST:Voyager', and it was picked up and read...

Re: Looking for a script and partner
Hm.
You want the writer's input on character, voice etc, but at the same time the scripts you've read, their vision, didn't have "the same ideas about how things would look". And that's fine. ...

Really? As I said, hasn't been my experience.as Letter size paper is hard to find, and a good script is a good script. I could stand to hear a little more, if you have further info.

Re: Looking for a script and partner
Hi, might need a little more detail. Where are you based? When you say you ant the writer involved, how? Why 45 min (not a great length except for a TV pilot)? Enquiring minds would like to know.

Re: Printing in A4
I dunno, I've sent out scripts in A4, nobody complained. And I think it helps it stand out a little from the pack, quite literally.
